SOUL CITY STEAM

Mass Design Group partnered with Dwell Magazine, Belhaven University, and the Community Foundation of Mississippi, to develop a site that would reflect the values and principles of twelve influential designers from the past. Soul City Steam is a proposed coffee shop and laundromat located in Jackson, Mississippi. This site is designed to provide access and inclusivity, foster connections, and cultivate happiness among community members.

With a focus on human-centered and community-oriented design, our group developed a site plan and produced a magazine presenting project information, values, and opportunities for supporting Soul City Steam. My roles in the design team included: ideation, research, layout design, and typesetting.
