PROCESS
An opportunity was discovered to design a typeface that would more effectively serve RCRI. The process began with extensive research on the organization and the collection of visual references. The visuals consisted of successful typefaces and images reflecting the culture and landscape of Rwanda. This research was utilized to
guide decisions throughout the development of the typeface. The letterforms began as hand-drawn forms and were then refined and revised to create the final vectorized specimen of majuscule and minuscule letters, numerals, and punctuation.

TYPE SPECIMEN BOOK
A type specimen book was designed to describe the process of creating this typeface in depth including the concept, development, and solution. The full specimen can be viewed, along with a range of uses and various physical and digital applications. All photos in the book were taken during a personal trip to Rwanda. This book
was displayed with a poster in a public exhibition, 26 Characters - An Exploration of Bespoke Type.
